We’re so proud of this major milestone accomplishment of 75 years in business! Friday August 26th, 2022, we celebrated with friends, family, employees, vendors and customers. We owe gratitude to all of them and most of all our employees; because of them we have been going strong for 75 years! Our celebrations kicked off Thursday night with a Business After Hours with the Effingham Chamber. Then Friday we gave our employees the day off as we set up for the celebration that night. Starting at 3pm we took a company photo. Then at 4pm the food truck opened up. Gate to plate, CZ Fried Green Tomatoes and The House of Brisket/Paris provided the food and were busy till they shut down at 7pm, when our music from Flight Fifty began.

The night was a great success and we hope to celebrate many more years!

It could also have something to do with the familiar Esker faces that have remained with the company over the years. All six of Barney and Dolores children’s became part of the business, with the third generation now among the staff. The cite family as one of their biggest inspirations at work With more than 70 employees, getting to work with the crew- as well as their personalities – is still one the things that the Eskers like best about the business.

From the Early days in 1947 to now, J.B. Esker & Sons still follows their basic mottos: “We have the expertise to handle the job – from start to finish” and “Provide quality work in a timely manner.”
